કેરળમાં ચોમાસું 4 દિવસ મોડું પહોંચશે:5 જૂન સુધીમાં કેરળમાં એન્ટ્રી કરી શકે છે; આ વર્ષે સામાન્ય વરસાદનું અનુમાન
2022માં ચોમાસું 29 મેના રોજ કેરળ પહોંચ્યું હતું. જ્યારે 2021માં એ 1 જૂને પહોંચ્યું હતું.
The Southwest Monsoon is expected to reach Kerala with a delay of four days this year. According to the Indian Meteorological Department i.e. IMD, monsoon may reach the southern state by June 5. It usually enters Kerala on 1st June. This marks the official start of monsoon in the country.

આ વર્ષે સામાન્ય વરસાદની આગાહી
Monsoon is expected to be normal this year. The Meteorological Department had given this information last month. If the rains remain normal, the production of foodgrains in the country will also be normal, which means that it can provide relief from inflation. Farmers of the country usually start sowing summer crops from June 1. This is the time when monsoon reaches India. Sowing of the crop continues till the beginning of August.

સામાન્ય વરસાદ શું છે?
IMDએ કહ્યું હતું કે વરસાદ લાંબા ગાળાની સરેરાશ (LPA)ના 96% થવાની સંભાવના છે. જો વરસાદ LPAના 90-95%ની વચ્ચે હોય તો એ સામાન્ય કરતાં ઓછું હોવાનું કહેવાય છે. જો LPA 96%-104% હોય તો એને સામાન્ય વરસાદ કહેવામાં આવે છે.

જો LPA 104% અને 110%ની વચ્ચે હોય તો એને વધુ વરસાદ કહેવામાં આવે છે. 110%થી વધુ વરસાદને વધુ વરસાદ કહેવાય છે અને 90%થી ઓછા વરસાદને દુષ્કાળ કહેવામાં આવે છે.
70% of the country’s annual rainfall falls in the south-west monsoon. Even now 70% to 80% of farmers in our country depend on rainwater for irrigation. In such a situation their production depends entirely on good or bad monsoon. Inflation also increases when there is a bad monsoon.

Monsoon is declared to have arrived in the country when at least 2.5 mm of rain falls for two consecutive days at 8 stations that announce the onset of monsoon in Kerala, Lakshadweep and Karnataka.
