ડીઝીટલ યુગમાં ગુગલ-પેનો વપરાશ દિન બદીન વધી રહ્યો છે તેમાં કેટલા ઉપભોગતાઓ નંબર તપાસ્યા વગર જ આંખ બંધ કરી ગુગલ પે પર પેમેન્ટ કરતાં હોય છે ત્યારે આજે Google Pay ના વપરાશકારો માટે ભુજ શહેરમાં ચોંકાવનારો કિસ્સો સામે આવ્યો છે.
ભુજ શહેરના જૂની રાવલવાડી વિસ્તારમાં બ્યુટી પાર્લરનો વ્યવસાય કરતા મેકપ આર્ટીસ્ટ રીના ભૂડીયા (પટેલ) ઉ. વ.૩૭ને મેકપ માટે ઓર્ડર બુક કરવા વોટ્સએપ પર એક અજાણ્યા નંબર પરથી મેસેજ આવ્યો હતો અને ઓર્ડર બુક કરવા માટે 1 હજારના બદલે 10 હજાર રૂપિયા ગુગલ પે કર્યા હતા અને ગુગલ પે એકાઉન્ટ પર 10 રૂપિયાનો રિસીવ મેસેજ આવ્યો પણ રીના ભુડીયાએ બેન્કની એપ્લિકેશન ચેક કરતા ખાતામાં રૂપિયા જમા ન થતા ચોંકી ઉઠ્યા હતા.

આ સમગ્ર બનાવ મામલે રીના ભુડીયાએ ભુજ શહેરની પોલીસની સી-ટીમને જાણ કરી અન્ય લોકો આવી છેતરપીંડીનો ભોગ ન બને તેમ લેખીત રજૂઆત કરી હતી. ભુજ પોલીસની સી-ટીમ દ્વારા જાગૃતતા દાખવવા અને ઓનલાઈન પેમેન્ટ પર સચેત રહેવા અનુરોધ કર્યો હતો અને સાયબર ક્રાઇમ દ્વારા છેતરપીંડી કરનાર અજાણ્યા નંબરના ઇસમ સામે કાર્યવાહી કરવા વધુ તપાસ હાથ ધરી હતી.
